Education and outreach of space aeronomy

Scientists of the Royal Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy (BIRA-IASB) deliver educational services to high schools and universities, and take care of outreach to the general public. They organize exhibitions and open days, give public lectures, write articles for the general public and keep you informed about their most recent atmospheric research and experiences through social media.

For the duration of the period of confinement, due to the spread of the COVID-19 or Corona virus, the Royal Belgian Institute is adapting its slogan from "Science between Heaven and Earth" to "Science between Heaven and Home". We'll be sharing with you the little things that brighten our days in our new life and work routines.
For the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (February 11), we took the opportunity to ask some of our female researchers about their experiences with science.
Happy holidays!
Every summer, the Wolvendael park situated near BIRA-IASB, is transformed into a universe of its own. People, families, anyone can bring their tent and spend the night.
